About Emily

My work centers on helping individuals explore who they are and how their past experiences, relationships, and patterns continue to shape their sense of self today. I often work with those navigating life transitions, illness, or loss—times when familiar roles and routines no longer feel steady and questions of meaning and identity naturally arise.

Many of my clients are living with or adjusting to chronic illness, coping with grief, or seeking to understand long-standing emotional patterns. Together, we explore how early experiences may still echo in the present and build skills to help manage emotions, foster resilience, and create a greater sense of ease in daily life.

My approach is collaborative and reflective. I aim to offer a grounded, compassionate space where you can make sense of your experiences, reconnect with your inner world, and move toward a life that feels more authentic and aligned with who you are becoming.

My style...

is supportive and collaborative. I value authenticity and humor in the therapeutic process and strive to create a space where you or your child feel seen, heard, and understood.

I use...

a blend of therapeutic approaches tailored to each individual. My foundation includes traditional talk therapy, often integrating tools to help clients identify emotions and build skills like mindfulness and self-compassion for navigating distress. I incorporate a focus on meaning-making and helping people identify their personal values, even in the face of difficult emotions and experiences.

I often use parts work or other approaches that encourage us to honor our experiences, feelings and emotions by tuning in to listen. This can help people better understand themselves by recognizing and integrating different aspects of their identity and inner experiences.

Beyond traditional talk therapy, I draw on reflective and creative methods that support exploration and insight—such as journaling, metaphor, imagery, and narrative work. These approaches can deepen self-understanding, support emotional processing, and strengthen coping skills, allowing therapy to be both reflective and practical.
